Prof. Rong-Zhen Liao (廖荣臻, Born in 1983, Zhongxiang, Hubei province) obtained his B.Sc. degree from Beijing Normal University in 2005 and his Ph.D. degrees from Stockholm University in 2010 (with Prof. Fahmi Himo) and from Beijing Normal University in 2011 (with Prof. Ruo-Zhuang Liu). After postdoctoral studies at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung (with Prof. Walter Thiel) and at the Stockholm University (with Prof. Per E. M. Siegbahn), he was appointed directly a full professor at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2015. He received the “Annual Research Star Award” (Huazhong University of Science and Technology, 2016) and “Young Scholar of Distinction” (Huazhong University of Science and Technology, 2017). He has been supported by the “Hubei youth talent program” (Hubei province, 2021).

Asso. Prof. Man Li (李曼) obtained her B.Sc. degree from Sichuan University in 2013 and her Ph.D. degrees from Nankai University in 2018 (with Prof. Jin-Pei Cheng and Prof. Xiao-Song Xue). After postdoctoral study at the Stockholm University (with Prof. Fahmi Himo), she joined the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2021.
